CARE INSTRUCTIONS

• Wipe dry after use.

• Clean with mild soap.

• Note: use non-scratch sponges, scourer sponges are NOT recommended.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Follow these steps to install your Hideaway Shower Cabinet:

Preparation:

1. Measure the dimensions of the cabinet and the wall where the wall space where it will be installed.

2. Build a timber niche within the wall to reinforce the cabinet. Ensure niche size is 2mm larger than actual cabinet size to allow for adhesive.

Waterproofing:

3. Ensure that the niche (cradle for shower cabinet) is fully waterproof, using waterproof membrane.

4. Let the waterproofing layer cure according to manufacturer’s instructions.

Installing the cabinet:

5. Rotate the cabinet 180 degrees for right- or left-hand opening.

6. Apply recommended adhesive to the back and all four (4) sides of the shower cabinet. We recommend Sikaflex® adhesive.

7. Install shower cabinet by pushing towards the back of the niche. Do not penetrate the shower cabinet carcass with screws.

8. Use glass suction cups to adjust.

9. Have Hideaway Shower Cabinet sit proud of villa board to allow for cabinet to be flush with tile face.

10. Allow adhesive to cure before commencing the tiling of the cabinet door.

Tiling the cabinet door:

11. Use Sikaflex® adhesive to fix tile choice to the Hideaway Shower Cabinet door. Note that not all tile adhesives will bond to the powder coating. We recommend Sikaflex®.

12. Once the cabinet door is tiled, adjust the hinges with a screwdriver to ensure an even shadowline. Please note, over time, hinge screws may come loose and need tightening due to constant use. Any hinge adjustments must be done by a licensed tradesman.

Finishing touches:

13. Grout the tiles on the cabinet door with waterproof grout, ensuring a seamless look with the wall tiles.

14. Apply a final coat of waterproof sealant over the grout lines and tile surface to enhance protection.

NOTE: This product must be installed by a licensed tradesman. Before installation, ensure the niche, in which the cabinet is inserted in is fully waterproofed and a certificate or certification is obtained. Hideaway Shower Cabinets will NOT be responsible for any future failure of waterproof membrane due to poor installation of cabinet and/or waterproof.
