Q: Why should I consider a Hideaway Shower Cabinet over a niche or ledge?
A: Our cabinets are very versatile - they can be used as your main shower storage if you prefer a clean, minimalist aesthetic or hidden away at the bottom of your shower to be used as extra storage in addition to your open niche. An open niche or ledge can quickly become cluttered and a dumping ground for all your products whereas by adding a Hideaway Shower Cabinet you can keep your space clutter-free.
Q: What is the purpose of the shadowline?
A: The cabinet shadowline acts as a ventilation gap to avoid mould build-up. The gap is also required to allow you to open the 30mm thick tiled door.
Q: Is mould build-up an issue with the Hideaway Shower Cabinets?
A: The stainless steel powder coating is mould and water-resistant with a purposeful shadowline to create a ventilation gap to further avoid mould build-up.
Q: How are your cabinets installed?
A: Our cabinets must be installed by a qualified tradesperson. Please refer to our instructions manual for more installation details.
Q: Can the cabinets be retrofitted?
A: No. A qualified tradesperson will need to remove the existing tiling work and create an accurately measured niche in the timber stud wall to fit the cabinet, which will need to be fully waterproofed prior to installing the cabinet. Refer to the installation instructions.
Q: Are your cabinets waterproof?
A: Yes, our cabinets are 100% waterproof. All our cabinets are made from 2mm stainless steel and are a concealed shell. Our hinges are 304 grade stainless steel. These cabinets have been flood tested to ensure no leaks and no rust.

A: Yes, the cabinet can simply be flipped 180°.

Q: Can we install our own handles?
A: No, the cabinet is all-in-one.
Q: What tile thickness does the door allow for?
A: All our cabinet doors have a recess depth of 15mm to allow for standard tiles or stones.
Q: Can you put a mirror on the cabinet door?
A: Yes. The door is designed for any tile, Venetian plaster, stone, glass or mirror.
Q: What are your cabinets made of?
A: Our cabinets are made using 2mm stainless steel and 304 stainless steel hinges to support the weight of a tiled door.
Q: When can I expect to receive my order?
A: 2 weeks, depending on your location. Allow an 8 week lead time if the cabinet isn’t in stock or you require customisation.
Q: Will an 8 week lead time affect my bathroom renovation schedule?
A: No, as long as your qualified tradesperson allows for the correct dimensions of the cabinet, you can continue to waterproof and tile your bathroom. Once the cabinet arrives it will simply need to be glued in and once dried, the door to be tiled.
Q: Are all your cabinets the same depth?
A: All our cabinets are 116mm to fit a standard 90mm stud wall (6mm villa board + 90mm stud +20mm glue and tile). If you’re after a custom depth (for example, if you want to hide your toilet rolls next to your toilet providing you have the depth in the wall) please contact us for a quote.
